Home Education Sessions

Did you know that the Library is facilitating a local home education group by offering the space as part of our community engagement on a Wednesday?

A home education group is a community where families who homeschool their children come together to share resources, ideas, and support. The benefits are numerous: children gain social interaction with peers, parents exchange teaching tips and curriculum advice, and the group often organises joint activities like field trips or co-op classes.

Being part of a home education group provides both educational enrichment and a strong support network, making the homeschooling journey more rewarding for everyone involved. Please note: Perranporth Library is just facilitating this group.

Book Club

Are you thinking about joining a book club? It’s more than just reading—it’s a chance to connect with others, learn, and grow. Here are 5 reasons why we think joining a book club is a fantastic idea:

  1. Discover New Books: A book club introduces you to genres and authors you might not explore on your own, broadening your reading experience.
  2. Deepen Your Understanding: Discussing books with others helps you uncover new insights and perspectives, making reading even more rewarding.
  3. Build Community: Book clubs bring people together, fostering friendships and a sense of belonging through shared discussions and experiences.
  4. Stay Motivated: Being part of a book club keeps you accountable, helping you stay on track with your reading goals.
  5. Boost Mental Well-being: Engaging in thoughtful conversations about books can reduce stress, improve communication skills, and offer a welcome mental break.

Why not give it a try? Contact perranporth.library@liscornwall.org.uk for more details.
